Rooms shaped by an old Pisan house

Every room at Hotel Cecile is arranged around the same idea: give travellers a calm, well-kept place to sleep in the middle of the city and spend nothing on decoration that nobody asked for.

Heating and a cooling fan come as standard, free Wi-Fi covers the property, and some rooms are air-conditioned. Bathrooms are private or shared depending on the room, which is normal for a building of this age and always confirmed before you book.

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Room suits couples and solo travellers who prefer a little more space around them at the end of a long walking day. Bedding is arranged either as one queen bed or as two twin beds, so let the property know which layout you would like when you book and it will be prepared before you arrive. Heating, a cooling fan, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen television are all provided, and the wardrobe and desk make the room genuinely usable for stays of several nights.

Because the building belongs to the historic centre, no two rooms are identical: ceilings, window placement and the exact floor area vary from one to the next. Reception will describe the specific room being held for you if you call, and can note preferences such as a quieter side of the building.

Triple Room - Hotel Cecile

Triple Room

The Triple Room works well for friends travelling together and for a small family exploring the historic centre at an unhurried pace. Beds are configured either as one twin and one queen, or as three twin beds, and the choice is worth making in advance so the room is set up the way you expect. As in every room, you will find heating, a cooling fan, free Wi-Fi, towels and free toiletries waiting for you.

Groups usually appreciate the storage more than anything else. There is space to open cases without stacking them on the beds, and the desk doubles as somewhere to spread out maps, tickets and the day's plans before setting off towards the river.

Single Room - Hotel Cecile

Single Room

A practical choice for one person, with a single twin bed and the essentials for a comfortable city stay: heating, a cooling fan, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television, a wardrobe and a desk. It makes an easy base for early starts towards Piazza dei Miracoli, and it keeps a central Pisa address affordable for anyone travelling on their own.

Solo guests often stay midweek and work for part of the day. The Wi-Fi covers the whole property, the desk is a real desk rather than a shelf, and the tea and coffee-making facilities mean the first hour of the morning does not require leaving the building.

Private and shared bathrooms, explained honestly

Hotel Cecile is a historic-centre property and its bathrooms reflect that history. Some rooms have a private bathroom, while others use a well-maintained shared bathroom on the same floor. Neither arrangement is hidden in the small print.

Check the arrangement when you select your dates, or simply call the property. The reservation page states clearly whether a bathroom is private or shared, and reception is happy to confirm the detail by phone or email so there are no surprises on arrival.

In every room

Whichever room you take, the same essentials are provided: heating for the colder months, a cooling fan for the summer, free Wi-Fi throughout the building, towels and free toiletries, a wardrobe and a desk, and a flat-screen television for the evenings you decide not to go out again.

Hairdryers are available on request at reception, tea and coffee-making facilities let you begin the day slowly, and housekeeping visits daily. Non-smoking rooms are available, and air conditioning exists in part of the house rather than throughout, so ask for it specifically if it matters to your stay.

One structural note worth repeating: the building has no elevator and upper floors are reached by stairs. If you travel with heavy luggage or would rather avoid steps, mention it when you reserve and reception will do what the building allows.

Choose your dates and let Pisa take care of the rest

Availability and rates are confirmed on our reservation page. If anything needs explaining first, reception answers the telephone through the day and can talk through rooms, bathroom arrangements, arrival times and parking before you decide.
